concerning: 

Step 4 : Configure make-fai-nfsroot.conf to be architecture specific

    * Add --arch i386 or --arch amd64 to FAI_DEBOOTSTRAP

shouldn't the "--arch <xxx>" go into FAI_DEBOOTSTRAP_OPTS?
